PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Personnel Systems Specialist shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.

The Personnel Systems Specialist administers & protects personnel data within multiple HR systems through ongoing processing of personnel data changes in accordance with appropriate business processes and HR policies. This role works directly with the Field Support Center Personnel (FSC-P) team as well as Navigators mission staff at large, Navigators business support teams, Eagle Lake Camps, and Glen Eyrie Conference Center.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Daily processing of employee records and transactions in Workday, including hires, compensation changes, promotions, staff cost centers, terminations, Minister’s Housing Allowances, & COLAs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. (35%)
  • Serve as primary contact for all HRIS inquiries and questions or direct as needed to other HR or department team members. Troubleshoot and develop solutions to resolve HR inquires for stakeholders with the Personnel Services team & Business Systems teams. (20%)
  • Participate and lead system upgrades and releases as required. (10%)
  • Biweekly payroll processing liaison with Accounting & Finance teams to resolve paycheck questions, errors, or concerns. (5%)
  • Manage and administer the Navigators Minister’s Housing Allowance process. (5%)
  • Maintain and update HRIS and related standard operating procedures and instructions forall HRIS systems and processes. (5%)
  • Complete SS verification and state required new hire reporting twice a month. (5%)
  • Maintain data accuracy in Workday HCM attentively checking details and running quality control reports as needed. (5%)
  • Work with Employee Experience team to oversee the annual Plan & Progress reviews (PPRs) updates and launches. (5%)
  • Manage and launch the Annual Reaffirmation documents in Workday and provide completion reports to FSC-P, managers, and leadership. (5%)

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in Navigators on-site learning and development events, Cultural Development and Diversity trainings or other non-Navigator developmental events as appropriate.
  • Coordinate monthly HR and FSC Personnel meetings.
  • Participate in the annual, organizational Plan and Progress Review (PPR) process.
  • Submit time worked on a weekly basis through the Workday Time Tracking system.

MINIMUM AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: This role requires strong organization & time management skills with an emphasis on customer service. 1-3 years of HR Generalist, staffing administration or payroll experience working within a HCM system is required. Recent Workday experience strongly preferred.
Technical Knowledge & Skills: Microsoft Office, Workday HCM, iCIMS or Workday Recruiting, help desk/service ticketing systems knowledge helpful. Independent problem-solving skills required.
Communication & Leadership: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including verbal & written, to create understanding and build strong working relationships required. May provide job training or direction with other department team members.
Education: HS Diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree or college coursework preferred.
Spiritual: Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.

Compensation Range: $43,500 to $54,400/year
