SUMMARY

Responsible for all functions of payroll and time system maintenance, processing, reconciliation and reporting, including payroll related taxes and GL. Compile and maintain all payroll records. Maintains and processes and workers compensation documentation, and provides day to day administration of the 401k. Provide assistance in human resource functions and activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain confidentiality of all personnel records and inside information.
  • Provide a high level of customer service at all times; project and maintain a positive image on behalf of Riverview with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Record/maintain employee information such as new hire or personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, termination or other personnel actions and the employee files.
  • Compile data from payroll and/or personnel records and prepare reports.
  • Analyzes, computes/records wages, garnishments, levies, income withholding orders or support notices and prepares/inputs payroll data to the Payroll/HRIS to produce accurate and timely payroll.
  • Responsible for maintenance and delivery of miscellaneous reports including vacation, MWR, FTE, OT, and the part time hours/status report.
  • Performs various journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger support.
  • Data input and maintenance of Computer Based Training (BAI) and education assistance recordkeeping.
  • Responsible for maintaining our electronic records and uploading to HRIS system.
  • Responsible to cross train and document/maintain HR/Payroll processes.
  • Provide assistance to employees on payroll and personnel related question and inquiries.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides day to day administration and maintenance of the 401k Plan
  • Assist with the tuition reimbursement program.
  • Provide support and backup for other HR staff.
  • Assist the HR Team by conducting assigned projects.
  • Participates in and completes training objectives with passing scores.
  • Follow all Riverview policies and procedures.
  • Additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associates degree and 2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer HR, Accounting or other detail oriented job experience. Demonstrated analytical and communication skills. Riverview experience considered.

SKILLS

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public in a professional manner.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
  • Requires the intermediate skills associated with the general use of computers MS office (or comparable) applications working intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, and other business office equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms in handling and accessing files. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. In handling files, manuals and other printed materials; the employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision in working with computers and documents.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock in working with standard office equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour
