The Windham Southeast Supervisory Union (WSESU) is an increasingly diverse community with an ongoing commitment to social justice and anti-racism. We are looking for enthusiastic professionals to join us in furthering this work. The Windham Southeast Supervisory Union currently has an opening for an HR Generalist on or before July 1, 2023. The ideal candidate will have prior human resource and/or payroll experience and ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential communications/information.Responsibilities: Maintains employee files by ensuring proper recordkeeping of all active employee files.

Ensures accurate filing of employment records; Maintains terminated files and records;Works with HR Director to ensure all volunteers complete background check process;Assist with required mandatory trainings of all employees and work with Curriculum & Assessment Office on tracking;Assist with oversight of ParaPro program;Assist the Payroll Officer with Vermont State Teachers Retirement System and Vermont Municipal Employees Retirement System reporting;Assist the Payroll Officer with new hire reporting and audit reports;Cross train on Payroll and act as Payroll back-up if needed;Assist the Benefits Coordinator in the preparation of required government, local and department reports related to health insurance plans;Assist HR Director with onboarding new employees, yearly contract distribution, workers compensation submittals, OSHA reporting;Assist in creating and maintaining up-to-date job descriptions;Responsible for assigned projects such as data collection and reporting;Processes verifications of employment;Other duties as assigned.This a full-time, calendar year position.
