JOB SUMMARY

The HR Generalist will be an integral part of the team to provide comprehensive HR support to all Atlanta West and Metro locations. In this role, the HR Generalist will support fundamental activities within the employee life cycle including various aspects of recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, performance management, retention, and engagement. Additionally, this role will support the development and implementation of HR strategies at the local and corporate levels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide HR support and guidance to staff, dealing specifically with recruitment, onboarding programs, payroll and benefits administration, performance/talent management, and basic disciplinary and grievance cases.
  • Prepare bi-weekly payroll for processing
  • Travel domestically as needed to branch locations
  • Active communication with division branches weekly
  • Support leadership on various transactions and projects impacting daily HR operations
  • Support the leadership team with the design and delivery of initiatives relating to engagement, reward, development, and communication.
  • Working collaboratively with HR peers to design and deliver on ADG Corporate HR projects and initiatives as required.
  • Provide managers guidance in the delivery of effective HR solutions and ensure these are carried out within the legal framework pertaining to the relevant stakeholder group.
  • Act as Wellness Champion and level one benefit resource
  • File workers comp claims and maintain follow up throughout the year

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Human Resources experience required
  • Experience using Paylocity preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Basic level experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Basic understanding of employment law and its application in a commercial environment
  • Excellent communication skills, including strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate across the organization, building strong client relationships
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to learn and effectively use various HR system tools
  • Ability to travel domestically, as required
