LOCATION

IFG Companies is hiring in Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia. Applicants must reside in one of these states to be hired. Remote and flexible work arrangements are provided to all employees based on manager approval.


SALARY RANGE

The expected salary range is $65,000 to $85,000 and subject to change at any time at the discretion of the Company.


POSITION SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE

Under the supervision of the Human Resources Director, this position will track and maintain IFG Company’s employee handbooks as well as policies, procedures and programs related to overall Human Resource compliance. This is inclusive of Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action, Immigration Control, VETS reporting, and ADA, and compliance with all applicable Human Resource laws and regulations. This position will also be involved in the coordination of employment related agency complaints, insurer reporting and/or litigation.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides consultation to HR professionals, managers in terms of related compliance issues.
  • Proactively track pending laws, regulations, identifies risks analyzing potential impact(s) to the business, and recommend changes. Maintain, create and/or modify HR policies, procedures or programs to ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations under the oversight of the HR Director.
  • Maintain employee handbooks for all operating states. Partner with HR ensure effective distribution when changes are made. Collect, analyze and prepare data in support of EEO, Veterans, Affirmative Action and all other government reporting requirements.
  • Track Affirmative Action required activities related to accomplishing goals and partner with other HR members to ensure completion.
  • Ensure routing and coordination of employment, litigation and agency complaints to the appropriate team member; provide administrative support in compiling, documenting and completing requests for information for multiple entities.
  • Develops and maintains compliance related training material. Maintain professional and technical knowledge through various channels.
  • Performs routine and required audits as needed, such as Workers’ Compensation, 401k, and employment files.
  • Responsible for annual compliance submissions and reporting (EEO, benefits, ACA, AA, Vets reporting, etc.)
  • Supports HR project work through administrative tasks.
  • Serve as a backup for payroll, tax, benefits, and 401k operations.
  • Participate in IFG’s diversity initiatives.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally and maintain strict confidentiality
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated; able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Highly dependable and reliable with regard to work schedule and ability to meet project deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability, and commitment to, providing an extremely high level of customer service
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations related to Human Resource compliance is required


EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience directly related to Human Resource Compliance
  • Experience with the insurance industry a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Physical demands are considered to be that of an office environment, climate controlled, with minimal physical exertion. This position requires prolonged sitting, ability to utilize a computer, and interactions with others in meetings or via phone.
  • Ability to travel as necessary according to business needs
