• Housekeeping Supervisor will report to Housekeeping Director and follow his/her instructions.

• Housekeeping Supervisor reports to work one hour early and stays one hour late to make sure the evening shift have adequate staff.

• Training housekeepers on cleaning and work orders in Maintenance care.

• Overseeing staff performance on a daily basis.

We are looking for a Housekeeping & Laundry Supervisor to lead our team of Housekeepers & Laundry staffs and ensure to provide excellent cleanliness and outstanding customer services.

Housekeeping Supervisor responsibilities include organizing employee shifts, training, and motivating team members. Checking Residents rooms and public areas for tidiness.

To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of sanitation and safety regulations of Center for Disease Control (CDC), Department of Health (DOH), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and team management abilities.

Ultimately, you will help ensure our daily housekeeping operations run smoothly and Infection Control Policy and Procedure are followed properly. Our mission is to keep this facility safe, hygienic, clean for our Residents, Employees and the Visitors.

Responsibilities/Job Descriptions

• Train housekeepers on cleaning tasks and coordinate Departmental In-Services.

• Oversee staff on a daily basis.

• Scheduling and Payroll.

• Check Resident’s rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, outside Courtyards for cleanliness.

• Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence.

• Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards.

• Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job.

• Respond to any complaints and special requests.

• Monitor and keep inventory of cleaning products, Diapers, Pull-ups, Linen stock including floor cleaner, Disinfectant, Hand soap, Hand Sanitizers etc.

• Participate in large cleaning projects i.e., Floor works (Stripping & Waxing/Carpet shampooing), COVID-19 Room Cleaning & Resident’s equipment and Medical Devices Cleaning.

• Should have knowledge on Infection Control, COVID-19 Room and Medical Devices Cleaning.

• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas.

• Must involve actively in all disasters i.e., Fire, Elopement, and any emergency situations.

Requirements

• Work experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role for at least three years.

• Hands-on experience with cleaning in Healthcare setting.

• Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products.

• Excellent organizational and team management skills.

• Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job.

• Flexibility to work various shifts and times, including evenings and weekends.

• High school diploma is a must.
