Position Overview:
To provide a high standard cleanliness throughout the hotel. Be able to clean 17 rooms within an 8-hour day in accordance with hotel standards.
Essential Functions:
- To clean the hotel rooms quickly, neatly and efficiently.
- To ensure guestroom corridors are clean.
- To maintain a neat and clean cart, storage rooms and supplies.
- To maintain a friendly and approachable attitude toward guests and staff.
- To maintain a clean and professional appearance.
- To respect all hotel equipment and property and use with care.
- Document any deficiencies within guestrooms and corridors.
- Label and submit all lost and found items to the housekeeping supervisor.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience required
A formal education is not required to become a housekeeper. We will provide on the job training. Hotel housekeepers must be able to work quickly and efficiently without invading the guest’s privacy and should have a neat, clean appearance.
Physical Requirements:
Housekeepers must bend, stoop, climb, and reach to clean in corners and inside closet. Must be able to push up to 75 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds.
