Position Summary: This position carries the major responsibilities for providing a broad range of food service, cleaning and janitorial support to the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:

• Works in conjunction with the Facilities Manager to fulfill janitorial requirements to ensure the facility, its resources and supplies are clean, sanitized and well maintained in a manner that supports the mission of the organization – to provide services to clients in a clean, healthy, safe environment.
• Supports and maintains quality housekeeping and safety practices for the organization that includes but is not limited to: public areas, private offices, training rooms and kitchens, serving· kitchens, pots/pans/utensils, counters and prep tables, dish room and restroom facilities, tables and chairs in Galley, carpeted areas and floors.
• Stores food and supplies in accordance with instructions and maintains accurate inventories.
• Assists with setup and take-down for special in-house events and meetings.
• Communicates and reports to Facilities Manager on regular basis regarding housekeeping issues or needs.
• Works with Events Manager to coordinate kitchen preparation, food service and clean up for special in-house activities or events.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year of related experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time; bend, climb, kneel, and push, lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• High degree of discretion when dealing with confidential information.
• Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background and a drug test screening.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
