Gibson Island Club, located in Anne Arundel County along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay and Magothy River, is hiring seasonal full time and part-time Housekeeping, Laundry, and Cleaning Associates. We are located near Pasadena and Glen Gurnie, MD. Rotating weekend support is required.

Job Scope: The Housekeeping Department provides essential services in support of the mission of Gibson Island Club, and is an integral part of delivering a quality experience to residence, members, and their guests. The Housekeeper is entrusted to work independently with other housekeeping team members to provider efficient and professional cleaning and environmental services to all assigned facilities within the Gibson Island community. Detailed, thorough work is important to ensure quality, cleanliness, and sanitary conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- The position will entail high quality results in scrubbing, sweeping, mopping floors, dusting and arranging furniture, vacuuming, emptying trash containers, cleaning bathrooms, and maintaining fixtures and accessories throughout the facilities

- Provides cleaning services daily to the Gibson House and Cottage rooms by making guest beds, cleaning bathrooms, providing clean towels, and removing trash and dirty dishes

- Washes, dries, and folds bed linens, towels, robes, and other Cottage linens

- Organizes and replenishes linen storage units

- Ensure buildings, common areas, and restrooms are properly cleaned and in good working condition, reporting minor repairs to management and maintenance

- Provide high quality customer service to Members and their guests with a sense of urgency and responsiveness. Maintain a positive attitude with strong respect for team, employees, Members, and Club property and assets

- Ensures appropriate and adequate supplies and equipment are available for work assignments

- Conducts inventory and advises supervisor of needed supplies

Education and Requirements

o High School Diploma or GED equivalent

o environmental services or housekeeping cleaning skills preferred, but will train

o reliable transportation, good attendance record, and punctuality needed

• Weekend availability
