The Intercontinental at Doral Miami is looking for an Income Auditor/Payroll Clerk to join our accounting team.

Job overview

The main purpose of the Income Auditor/Payroll Clerk job is to audit the hotel revenue, adjustments and gratuities on a daily basis.

Financial returns Payroll:

  • Accurate and timely processing of payroll on a bi-weekly basis including the review of all hourly punches, rates of pay, processing of benefits and making sure that all required approvals are in place prior to submitting to ADP.
  • Review and complete all tip calculations, minimum wage analysis and adjustments.
  • Prepare all bi-weekly and month end reports and analysis as required.
  • Prepare Labor Reports
  • Review & balance gratuities for payroll processing
  • Familiarity and adherence to all Real Hotels and Resorts policies and internal policies and processes related to payroll.

Financial returns Income Auditor:

  • Prepare daily DSR.
  • Daily food and beverage and banquet revenues recap
  • Reconciliation and review of all adjustments
  • Review all Banquet BEO’s and reconcile to posted Banquet and Audio Visual revenue.
  • Review Tax Exempts and forward it to Assistant Controller for Month End closing.
  • Balance and post each day to the GL.
  • Balance GL to DSR weekly
  • Balance A&P checks
  • Revise F&B Covers Report and post to GL.
  • Reconcile Audio-visual due to hotel and A/P
  • Review and reconcile all guest and breakfast packages.
  • Audit all comp rooms and other food & beverage courtesies for proper approval.
  • Familiarity and adherence to all Real Hotels and Resorts and internal policies and processes related to income, revenues, adjustments and courtesies.

People:

  • The Income Auditor/Payroll Clerk must maintain constant communications with all departments the Font to make sure that revenues are reconciled and recorded accurately, and any proper procedures are followed and communicated to management.

Guest experience:

  • This associate must be service oriented since he/she will be also dealing with employees and must do it in a professional and polite way.

Responsible business:

  • This position must be in compliance with the internal policies and procedures established by the corporation in order to perform the job satisfactory. This position also provides assistance to other accounting positions when needed.

Accountability

  • This position requires analysis, patience, responsibility and confidence when dealing with the hotel revenue, employee queries and all other activities related to this position.

Qualifications and requirements

To qualify for this position, you must be able to have an understanding on night audit/front desk activity as well as F&B and Catering operations. Opera/Symphony/Delphi/ADP Workforce Now are the systems required to use. Microsoft Office will also be needed.
