About the Organization THE NC STATE UNIVERSITY CLUB FACILITY WAS DEDICATED IN 1961 AND SERVES NC STATE SUPPORTERS INCLUDING FACULTY, STAFF AND ALUMNI. THE FACILITY WAS BUILT ON LAND LEASED FOR 99 YEARS FROM THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA. FUNDING WAS MADE POSSIBLE BY A GIFT FROM THE Z. SMITH REYNOLDS FOUNDATION INC. THE FACILITY AND RECREATIONAL VENUES ARE SITUATED ON APPROXIMATELY 45 ACRES OF LAND IN WAKE COUNTY. THE CLUB IS A UNIQUE, FAMILY-ORIENTED FACILITY CONTROLLED AND GOVERNED AS A PRIVATE CLUB BY THE MEMBERSHIP. AMENITIES INCLUDE; FULL BANQUET AND DINING FACILITIES TO INCLUDE A FULL -SERVICE SNACK SHOP, 25 METER POOL WITH SLIDE AND DIVING BOARD, 9 TENNIS COURTS, FITNESS CENTER, 9-HOLE EXECUTIVE PAR 3 GOLF COURSE.


Description

Provides initial contact to all members and guest dining at the club. Ensures proper flow of the dining room by maintaining seating procedures. Greets every guest by name as they arrive and leave the dining areas.

• Schedules dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for diners.
• Enthusiastically greets guests, escorts them to tables, and provides menus.
• Must be aware and able to effectively communicate all dining standards, menu’s and the clubs calendar of events.
• Logs member preferences into the POS system.
• Introduces server to the table
• Maintains seating chart
• Inspects dining room for neatness and cleanliness.
• Follows closing shift procedures which includes; arranging all menus, closing out seating chart and preparing lunch charts for next day.
• Assists in re-stocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies. Completes all side work duties.
• Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues to the Dining Manager for repairs.
• Receives and resolves complaints concerning beverages and / or service when possible; reports all unsolved problems or complaints to the Dining Manager immediately.
• Attends pre-meal and all Staff meetings.
• Follows all established North Carolina State University Club rules, regulations and policies.
• Assures that state and local laws and the Club’s policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed.
• Other duties as assigned by the Dining room Manager
• Makes sure that the customer leaves satisfied; settles any disputes while maintaining good customer relations.
• Fields phone call inquiries from potential guests and returns all phone calls and emails within 24 hours.
• Maintains a safe, clean and healthy environment for all the members, guests and staff, ensuring all safety rules are followed
• Must be available for all special events booked on property.
• Must be available for work holidays and weekends when necessary.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with management and staff.
• Adhere to the dress code and policies of the North Carolina State University Club
• Control costs by properly using and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Pay: $12.00/hr
