Responsibilities:
Under the supervision and direction of RN/LPN Charge Nurse, to provide non-personal cares to residents. You will assist in providing a healthy physical and psycho-social environment for the residents.

To assist C.N.A.’s with daily resident assignments by providing ancillary care task to complement the direct care provided by C.N.A.’s and Licensed Nursing personnel.

Duties:
  • Organize resident rooms, to include bedside stands and closets
  • Ensure that adequate toiletries and grooming supplies are maintained in resident room, in accordance with facility policy and procedure and safety rules and regulations.
  • Answer call lights and relay the resident’s request to the appropriate personnel
  • Deliver linen to resident room and make beds
  • Assist with resident activity programs
  • Assist with meal service delivery and clean-up
  • Pass snacks, record percentage consumed
  • Assist in dining room prior to meal service by passing beverages
  • Report any resident-related problems or concerns to the RN/LPN Charge Nurse.
  • Pass fresh water to all resident’s
  • Provide encouragement, love and emotional support to residents.
  • Verify the resident safety devices are in place and working.
  • Understand and follow safety and sanitation rules, promptly reporting all violations to the RN/LPN Charge Nurse
  • Report resident accident and incidents to the RN/LPN Charge Nurse
  • Understand and practice infection control procedures, including universal precautions
  • Attend all mandatory in-services including, but not limited to, safety, infection control, OSHA, and the Corporate Compliance Program
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, staff and guest
  • Ensure cleanliness of resident’s rooms
  • Comply with the Residents Bill of Right.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality and privacy
  • Treat residents with kindness, dignity, and respect
  • Report all resident complaints, accidents, missing items and incidents to RN/LPN Charge nurse
  • Report immediately all violations of Residents Rights
