As a Home Health Aide at our Benedict Court and Benedict Homes, you’ll find your purpose by bringing comfort and healing to our patients.

Currently seeking Evening (Part and Full Time) availability.

To become a Nursing Assistant in a long-term care facility, you are required to complete a state-approved education program and pass the Minnesota State exam. Once you complete the training and pass the state exam, we will present qualified applicants with a job offer. CentraCare will cover the cost of the exam, training, and pay you for your time while in the class.

How the Class Works:

- Onboarding : 2 hours of in-person instruction on how the system works, schedule, etc.

-You receive paid training while we cover the costs for your tuition and the State Exam

-Training includes on-site and remote days

- Roughly 32 hours of computer modules to be completed prior to proctored exams.

- Proctored Exams : Two in-person exams taken on the same day (approximately 7 hours)

- Skills :

Three various days: 8a.m.-4:30p.m.

- Clinicals :

Two various days: 8a.m.-4:30p.m.

State Exam: must be completed after training

*We offer the Nursing Assistant in Training Course two times per month between St. Cloud and Melrose, MN.

- You will receive mileage reimbursement for your travel to training, if you are not completing at the site you will work.

Additional Qualifications:

* Must have High School Diploma or GED graduate

* Permanent position after certification is completed- Commitment to 1 year of employment at CentraCare St. Benedicts Senior Community; Benedict Homes and/or Benedict Court.

* Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

* Good verbal and written communication skills.

* Ability to effectively interact with individuals who are cognitively and/or physically impaired.

* Professional and courteous customer services skills.

Pay:

• Starting pay at $16.73 per hour (more with experience) with a $1,500 sign-on bonus

*To be eligible for the accelerated rate you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible position. By accepting the accelerated rate, you will forego benefits, including paid time off, medical, and dental insurance, retirement and more. This is a temporary rate and position that will last for 12 months or less. Previous CentraCare/Carris employees qualify if they have not worked for CentraCare for at least 9 months at the date of hire. The accelerated rate can not be combined with other pay programs to include sign-on bonuses, relocation assistance….etc.

CentraCare pay promotions to include but not limited to, Sign-On and Relocation Bonuses may be discontinued at any time due to business needs. Any offer received after 10/14/22 will not be eligible for accelerated temporary rates.
