Help for Installing MAC OS HighSierra on external SDD

Hello,
Not sure how to update pay info on here but I will pay $50 for helping me install Mac OS HighSierra on an exertnal SDD. Should take at least 1 hr or less. I have the install USB but for the life of me don't know how to install it from there and continue to select the SSD drive. I seem to get a message that wants me to Shut Down my Mac and then it will automatically install on the main drive which I DON'T WANT.
Looking for an experienced MAC person. Please list credentials. Looking to hire within a week. Thank you.
