Job Overview:

The Housing Employment Launching Program Coach position provide resource and support around housing and workforce development assistance. The HELP Coach facilitates each participant in our program by ensuring their equipped in the area oh housing stability, while developing their skills for the workforce. Our HELP Coach must be a good communicator, efficient with documentation, relational, and know the practices of financial literacy.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative assistance to the HELP manager.
  • Assists in reviewing the referral and enrollments of all program participants.
  • Assist with support and resource each participant in the area of workforce development and housing matters.
  • Ensure that program participants gain suitable employment to secure stable housing.
  • Monitor the delivery of individualized services to facilitate housing stability.
  • Reviews housing application and decides on appropriateness of referral.
  • Responsible for following program eligibility requirements.
  • Capable of communicating regularly and effectively with the program manager, financial consultant, staff and support personnel to ensure that participants meet program requirements.
  • Knowledgeable of city and state laws related to housing.
  • Must be familiar with the guidelines of said grant.
  • Responsible for the completing and keeping records of check requests, expensify reports and other expenses.
  • Ensure client files are complete, accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure client confidentiality policies and procedures.
  • Monitoring and ensure that all financial transaction are completed.
  • Knowledge of program policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrate flexibility in operating within different work and community settings
  • Ability to establish trusting and therapeutic relationships
  • Strong community outreach skills
  • Ability to obtain pertinent information
  • Ability to follow-up linked to care and provide project referrals
  • Ability to travel between surrounding Philadelphia communities
  • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends
  • Ability to build and maintain effective and professional working relationships
  • Culturally sensitive to the needs and diversities of multi‐cultural communities
  • Strong interpersonal skills, respectful, and courteous nature

Experience:

The following experience is preferred:

  • Previous work within the human services profession
  • Expertise in working with older youth; aging out youth; foster care youth
  • Experience in housing programs, housing stability; low-income programming

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Salary:

  • Commensurate with education and experience
  • Grade 15

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
