Serenity Ranch is a faith-based organization in search of a Cowboy or Cowgirl interested in leading rides for at-risk groups of youth in addition to ride for the purpose of family togetherness and recreation. We are motivated by the idea of delivering a high quality, day-time horse activity that holds closely to the
Western ideals of horse and rider interaction. Our staff excels at giving our guests the kind of personal,
Western touch that has been long forgotten. Even more importantly than that, we excel at reaching today’s youth by showing them the love of Christ and sharing teachings from God’s Word - the Holy
Bible. While we are always hoping to add new and exciting features to our list of activities, we are most concerned with maintaining a close, personal interaction with each guest that joins us at Serenity Ranch.

Desired Skills:

Familiarity with a desire to learn new methods for equine handling, behavior, and care

Takes initiative and exhibits problem-solving skills

Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a frequent basis

Knowledge of the Holy Bible with a strong emphasis on the Gospels, and Psalms

Strong love for the outdoors

Ability to communicate with customers and those with special needs

A working knowledge of the Cowboy / Cowgirl Lifestyle

Major Goal:

A wrangler is dedicated to providing the best possible experience for their guests by maintaining healthy horses, a safety using thorough communication and instruction. Their enthusiasm for and immersion in
Scripture, Western culture, and horses are obvious to those around them. They are dedicated to actively promoting and positively representing the mission and vision of Serenity Ranch.

Responsibilities and Requirements Include:

Daily horse care, saddling and maintenance

Working closely with the Farrier and Equine Veterinarian

Roping knowledge and skill

Greeting guests and leading rides

Visiting and mingling with our guests

Basic ranch maintenance

Advanced riding skills

Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record

Satisfactory background

Professional references

Flexible schedule including Holidays and Saturdays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour
