PICCA has developed a wide range of programs that address different needs within our community. PICCA is currently seeking a passionate and motived person to join our Circleville and Ashville team.

JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant Teacher will collaborate with the Preschool classroom teacher to plan and implement developmentally appropriate classroom activities for children ages 3 – 5 years of age. The Assistant Teacher will foster an environment that meets the educational, social, emotional, and physical needs of children as well as support team teachers as a liaison between the home and center to strengthen communications and encourage parents’ involvement. The Assistant Teacher will assist teacher with required documentation for the program. The Assistant Teacher will maintain and keep current all required child care training and certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a licensed child care setting with the appropriate age group is preferred
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• High School Diploma or GED
• CDA (Child Development Associate) Certification, or willingness to enroll and complete the program within 2 years
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred

Other Requirements

• Must be able to successfully complete a drug screen and background check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
