Funeral home in St. Charles seeking experienced GROUNDSKEEPERS to join their team for a wonderful, long-term opportunity.

WEEKLY PAY - HIRING IMMEDIATELY - TEMP-TO-HIRE OPPORTUNITY

Pay Rate: $15/HR Shift: 7am - 3:30pm Days: Vary (Every other weekend is req.)

Job Summary:

Perform all grounds keeping & maintenance matters and maintains overall appearance on the various properties (Cemetery, Mausoleum and/or Funeral Home Locations). Will perform digging, lawn maintenance, repairs, excavation, lifting, setting up, and various other duties.

Job Duties:

• Performs tasks of grounds / landscaping maintenancerequiring the knowledge of use and general maintenance of mechanized equipment including lawn equipment - weed eaters, hedge trimmers and edger, pruners, leaf vacuum / blowers.
• Performs s*_et-up and completion of interments and entombmentsto include but not limited to excavating of the grave to the proper level, __assist with the lifting and placing casket on lowering device, removing, replacing and lifting crypt and niche fronts.*_
• Correctly identifies and identifies locations on cemetery map - where specified interment/entombment spaces are located.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Current, valid state issued driver’s license.
• Must be able to_ pass a pre-assignment criminal background screen._
• Ability to read a cemetery map and correctly identify and locate the location of specified areas.
• Requires the ability to show respect and sensitivity toward families while working in a physically demanding environment.
• Work in an outdoor environment in all kinds of weather and conditions.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job including but not limited to lifting up to 75lbs. frequently and occasionally up to 100lbs. Additional details will be provided.
