Position Summary:


This is a very limited role in where the operator is not only certified in all machines but is also certified in operator care and is responsible for equipment changeovers and set up, troubleshooting at a mechanical level, and belt repairs on all wire belts excluding the fryer.

Environment:


Plant Environment:

The plant work environment will expose the employee to loud noise, food grade dust & odors, moving & vibrating machinery, heavy equipment, powered industrial trucks, heights, traffic, anhydrous ammonia, oil, electricity. The employee may be exposed to adverse weather conditions including extreme cold (50 degrees F), heat (80 degrees F), rain, snow, dust, smoke and odors.

Allergens found inside the plant include fish, shellfish, nuts, eggs, wheat, soy, milk and coconut.

Specific Accountabilities:


  • Operate and maintain machinery used in processing and packaging food products
  • Able to quickly identify and correct problems with production machinery
  • A mechanical aptitude to make machine adjustments in order to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor and keep accurate records of machine usage, tool checklists, audit information and other items as required of the job.
  • Develops training materials on how to run, operate and maintain equipment
  • Overtime work as required

Job Specifications:


  • High School diploma or GED
  • Good basic mathematical ability
  • Well-developed and demonstrated English-language communications (both written and verbal), interpersonal, and decision-making abilities
  • Reliability, decisiveness, good judgment, assertiveness, flexibility, persistence, and patience
  • Experience in quality assurance, food handling or food processing, and knowledge of food sanitation requirements are preferred, but not mandatory
  • Able to stand for long periods of time in production environment.
  • Must have own transportation
  • Must work in -44° to 80° Fahrenheit for short duration
  • Must be available for overtime as needed.
  • Needs to be company oriented.
