Henkels & McCoy (H&M) is currently seeking Groundmen for our Telecommunications program operating out of Alabama. This position reports to the Construction Manager.

Major Job Elements

• Cleans and prepares site to eliminate possible hazards.

• Reads and interprets plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities.

• Signals equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.

• Measures, marks, and records openings and distances to layout areas where work will be performed.

• Must perform physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and legs and move the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School diploma or G.E.D.

• Must comply with all company training and safety requirements.

• Must have strong verbal communication skills and the ability to function as part of a team.

• Must have a valid CDL license.

• Must be able to work on Saturdays and possibly on Sundays.

• Must be able to pass a drug screen.
