Role Summary:

This is an accelerated graduate program designed for high potential, highly-mobile, and candidates with strong interest in the automotive industry, including automotive finance. The selected individual will rotate through three placements over an exciting 18 month period. This program is not a shadow experience and individuals will be exposed to hands on training in all aspects of the business.

The candidate will specialize on communications at VWGoA with three rotations on different communications teams across the brand; public, dealer and internal. In each of the rotations, the candidate will be part of a small team but interact with a wide variety of stakeholders across the organization, gaining valuable insights into each of the business areas.

Role Responsibilities:

Day to day responsibilities include:

Crafting, scheduling and release of communications, support with event production, analysis of data, visualization of data and/or event details

Rotation 1

Public Relations

  • Support team with creation of statements and press releases
  • Support event production
  • Help with media outreach and creation of media lists
  • Support internal communications archiving

Rotation 2

Dealer Relations

  • Review and approval of daily dealer communications
  • Prepare reporting of communication statistics for Executive Management
  • Support the planning of National Dealer Meeting
  • Maintain Dealer Feedback Action Item Log

Rotation 3

Internal Workforce Communications

  • Manage editorial calendar
  • Creative content production
  • Channel management and measurement in support of workforce communication

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Solid GPA
  • Graduation Date no earlier than Fall 2021
  • PowerPoint, Excel, Word skills needed
  • Ability to write and edit

Skills - Required:

  • People person: must be able to professionally interact with media as well as approach countless stakeholders across the organization
  • Detail oriented: must be able to identify errors in writing, data or formatting

Skills - Desired:

  • Passion for the Brand is extremely important for this role

Work Flexibility:

  • We require an individual who is willing and able to learn quickly, adapt, travel and potentially relocate.
