Job Mission

As a Global Marketing Associate for the Lifestyle Consumer Team, you will be part of a team responsible for developing innovative, disruptive marketing programs to reach New Balance’s influential lifestyle consumer.

The Global Marketing Associate will provide support against the objectives and strategies for the Lifestyle Business unit with a unique focus on Made in USA.

MADE in USA is New Balance’s ultimate brand differentiator and the pinnacle foundation of our Lifestyle category. It is the physical manifestation of what makes our brand unique. The Made in USA business transcends trends and showcases the most premium product, quality design and brand heritage.

This role will assist in the research, planning, budgeting, organization and execution for two Seasonal Collections and one brand-led marketing initiative a year. They will be a key point of contact for our Creative Director and his team as well as global markets, internal cross functional teams (PR, Social, Digital, Ecomm, NB Retail) and wholesale partners. They will assist in tracking, collecting and highlight business unit results for presentation to senior management and our Creative Director.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist in the development of Made in USA marketing strategy and campaigns
  • Work cross departmentally with product, merchandising, finance and legal teams to coordinate and assist in delivering all campaign elements from planning to execution
    • Manage 360 timelines for Creative Director as well as cross-functional teams to ensure plans and assets are delivered on time to meet GTM deadlines
    • Manage approvals of all global and regional channel marketing strategies
      • This includes alignment with NB senior leadership, NB legal teams and Creative Director
    • Own the distribution of global asset kits across cross-functional and regional marketing teams
    • Assist with budget support including entering PO’s, processing invoices & tracking payments
    • Own management of samples and seeding strategy
  • Assist with additional marketing projects on an as needed basis

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field
  • Understanding and passion for Lifestyle and sneaker culture is essential
  • 3+ years experience working with a culturally relevant brand, agency, or media company preferred
  • Proven knowledge of the digital and social landscape, especially emerging platforms and trends
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Proactive, adaptable and self-motivated with a superior attention to detail
  • Budget and project management skills essential
  • Must be able to communicate effectively. Strong written, oral communication skills required
  • Experience working with international markets preferred
