Gift Card Program Manager

This role sits within the Traveler Engagement and Loyalty (TEaL) team and oversees strategy, partnerships, and execution of the Hotels.com gift card program.

In this role, you will own all current partnerships including our B2B and Third Party Retail channels and B2C distribution channels. Additionally, you’ll assess new partnerships to strengthen and grow the program. You will also work cross-functionally to lead analytical efforts to better understand channel, partner, and promotional efficiency.

What you'll do:

  • Manage existing B2B Partnerships end-to-end including account management, marketing, enhanced distribution within existing relationship and oversee agency partner support

  • Manage partnerships with third party partners to maximize distribution and strategically plan marketing efforts to drive efficient sales in both of their Third Party Retail and B2B channels

  • Prepare partner level sales and card production forecasts

  • Oversee agency partner relationships to ensure operational, reporting and invoicing process optimization

  • Oversee gift card processor and B2C relationships, provide strategic direction and act as the key liaison to these business partners

  • Support Business Development in their efforts to work with partners for coupons, affiliates, promotions, product integrations and more

  • Assist in shaping the business strategy for gift cards to align with the overall strategy forHotels.comand Expedia Group

  • Build and maintain internal and external promotional calendar and work with partners to secure marketing placements during key timeframes

  • Benchmark activity against competitors and best-in-class retailers. Continue to innovate and evolve our campaigns to maintain competitiveness

  • Work closely with the Analytics team to optimize partner and promotional efficiency and drive incremental growth

  • Develop annual activation goals and plan to achieve them

  • Up to 15% travel required to attend industry conferences and partner visits

Who you are:

  • BA/BS degree in business, marketing, or similar field

  • 5+ years of combined experience in partnership management and marketing required

  • Experience in gift cards, travel, e-commerce, retail or merchandising function is a plus

  • Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills

  • Strong belief in delivering exceptional customer experiences

  • Proven ability to sell to and influence internal and external partners

  • Demonstrated experience in contract negotiations

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to prioritize and deliver results

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $104,000. to $145,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $166,500, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $99,000. to $138,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $158,500, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $104,000.00 to $145,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $166,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
