LMI Landscapes Inc. is a privately owned, full service Commercial Landscape and Irrigation firm, providing a suite of services to some of the best clients across Texas & Colorado from our Dallas, Denver, and Austin offices. We are a 35+ year-old business with lofty ambitions for near term growth.

We are searching for a General Manager to lead and guide our Dallas office. With company headquarters in Dallas, this person will help set the pace for the entire business and will guide the branch as it enters a new era of growth. LMI negotiates most of its customer contracts, so this is a very client-facing role, and this person must be able to serve as a player-coach. While much of LMI's revenue in Dallas comes from its construction projects, we're quickly becoming more a service-oriented maintenance firm. Experience with both lines of service will serve this person well, as both are expected to grow as we scale.

Exhibiting strong leadership qualities for your team while serving as the face of the business to your clients, fostering successful projects and ongoing relationships

Building and managing a strong team, maintaining a bench, and providing opportunity to those around you to progress their careers

Juggling multiple tasks, projects, and initiatives without dropping the ball, while keeping a strict focus on the details of running the business

Maintaining a track record of accountability and never failing to execute on the blocking and tackling of day-to-day responsibilities

Overseeing the performance and quality of the work and capturing the metrics that proves the work is profitable

Directing contact and maintaining the relationships with all vendors, third parties, and others who support our operations

Leading by example and action for safety training of all branch team members

Directing sales efforts to continue to grow branch operations, especially in segments with recurring revenue streams

Effectively tracking and managing metrics that help inform sound decision making and strategic direction of the business

About you:

A track record of managing and growing a branch or branches with $10M+ in revenue across landscaping, maintenance and irrigation, consistently maintaining 35%+ blended gross margins and ~10% net income

Deep expertise in running one business line (e.g., landscape installation, maintenance & enhancements, irrigation services), and demonstrable experience in managing operations for all other aspects of the business

A history of attracting, cultivating and retaining a strong team that allows for redundancies across functional areas of the business

Proficiency with utilizing and optimizing relevant landscaping software (e.g., Sage, Aspire/Boss, etc.)

A 4-year degree in Horticulture or other related field and/or equivalent experience

10+ years' management experience

Working knowledge of business accounting and P&L statements

Excellent communication, both written and oral

Bilingual in Spanish or a demonstrated willingness to learn Spanish is a plus

Salary: negotiable – base and bonus commensurate with the scope and scale of the role

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
