Five Iron Golf (5i) is the country's biggest indoor golf company with four locations in New York City, three locations in Chicago, two locations in Philadelphia, and locations in Seattle, Baltimore, Las Vegas, DC, Pittsburgh and Shelby Township. With many more to come!

At 5i, we aim to create a casual, relaxed atmosphere for both golfers and non-golfers. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a team-oriented individual to fill the role of General Manager for the opening of our new Cleveland 5i location. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all utilities, maintenance, and upkeep for each location, assisting in the management of all personnel and customer service items, and will report directly to the VP of Operations.

Responsibilities:

Hospitality Management

  • Food and Beverage
  • Work with Chef/kitchen staff to create and maintain an engaging and sellable menu
  • Manage and maintain bar selection, inventory, and ordering
  • Maximize F&B performance by creating promotions and specials around various 5i products (league, membership, etc.)
  • Serve as POC for staff on all things F&B
  • Manage and maintain vendor relationships for all F&B
  • Provide month-end F&B performance reports
  • Team Training and Communication
  • Set expectations and example by delivering world-class customer service
  • Deliver continuous training to staff as needed to ensure expectations are met
  • Ensure all staff are up to date with current menu offerings, promotions, etc.
  • Customer Service Excellence
  • Display and deliver a world-class customer service experience
  • Develop team qualities to support an environment that focuses on a "customer-first" mentality

Golf Operations

  • Membership and League Management:
  • Manage monthly member contracts and coordinate league payments and team schedules.
  • Develop strong relationships to grow membership and increase retention.
  • Serve as POC for staff, members, and potentials on any membership or golf league inquiries.
  • Manage weekly league nights with a focus on creating an inclusive and competitive atmosphere.
  • Provide weekly standings and update email to league teams.
  • Simulator and Equipment Operations:
  • Keep simulators in good working condition and perform general maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment.
  • Utilize fitters/pros to assist with any in-house club repairs needed.
  • Stay up to date with simulator training/updates and pass on knowledge to staff.
  • Ensure the in-house clubs, balls, and equipment are in good working order, and maintain organization and inventory.
  • Other Golf Operations:
  • Serve as POC for staff and guests on all golf-related inquiries.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through adherence to operational policies and enhanced training and development of staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the space and ensure that the location adheres to pertinent health and safety regulations.

Employee Management

  • Oversee the hiring, onboarding, and staff management process for roamer, host, and bartender positions
  • Oversee all aspects of staff training and continued education
  • Address any customer or employee issues in a timely fashion
  • Maintain customer satisfaction through adherence to operational policies and enhanced training and development of staff

Utilities and Space Maintenance

  • Work with all vendors for repairs, breaks, replacement equipment, etc.
  • Ensure the space is always kept clean
  • Ensure that the location adheres to pertinent health and safety regulations

Required Qualifications:

  • Golf, server, and/or hospitality experience encouraged but NOT required
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Previous supervisory experience, preferably within a golf or hospitality setting
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Type: This position will be a full-time, exempt role with varying night and weekend shifts.

Salary: The salary range for this position will be $60,000 to $65,000.
