Job description

General Laborers are on a 12 hour shift, 2, 2, 3, rotation. Day shift earns a weekend differential of $1.50/hr for Saturdays and Sundays in addition to base hourly rate.

$1,500 signing bonus payable at 6- and 12- months of continuous employment.

We are hiring for 1 position on day shift (7am-7pm).

Summary

General Laborers are responsible to prepare materials, maintain the equipment and keep production areas clean at all times. The general laborers help in maintaining quality standards and works meticulously to keep the lines performing at optimal levels. Additionally, this role will cover machines to allow for breaks and occasionally cover shifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem from time to time.

· Help with the installation, adjustments and disassembly of the machines and the equipment.

· Supply the machine with the necessary equipment (blades, inks, resin, etc.).

· Assist the operators during production.

· Clean the machine regularly

· Complete production reports according to the operators’ requests.

· Assist operators when repairing or checking faulty equipment.

· Maintain inventory of all materials used in the production process.

· Move materials and tools from one work area to another.

· Maintain cleanliness and safety in all departments.

· Execute all other related tasks as directed when needed.

· Manually or mechanically transport the raw materials, finished products and others in the factory.

· Use of production reporting system to ensure accuracy of data and labels.

· 5S and housekeeping

· Participate in continuous improvement projects.

· Expand knowledge on Print lines (and other equipment) through experience.

· Be able to operate in a team environment through proper communication and assisting each other during all steps of operation.

· Other duties as assigned.

Education and /or Experience

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Employees are required to wear hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety shoes.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee is working in an environment of fast moving equipment.
