Garage door technicians are responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining garage doors. They’re often called upon to install new doors or replace old ones when they break down or become damaged. Garage door technicians may also be asked to repair broken springs, cables or other parts of the door that need attention.

Especially here in Central Oregon, as new homes are built, more garage doors will be installed. In addition, homeowners will continue to maintain and repair their existing garage doors rather than replace them which means job security. We are growing and need to grow our team. Drive company vehicle to job sites around Central Oregon. ALL tools are provided.

Training & Experience: Whether you have experience or not you will receive on-the-job training. This training will typically last for a few weeks and will teach you how to use the company’s equipment and complete daily tasks.

Mechanical skills: Garage door technicians use mechanical skills to install and repair garage doors. They use these skills to understand how each component of a garage door works and how to repair them. Garage door technicians also use mechanical skills to operate tools like drills and saws.

Customer service: Customer service skills can help you interact with clients and customers. Garage door technicians may use customer service skills to help customers understand the benefits of different garage door options, explain the installation process and answer any questions customers may have.

Garage door technicians have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

• Installing and repairing residential or commercial garage doors, including springs, tracks, pulleys, panels, hardware, and other components
• Performing preventive maintenance on garage doors to ensure they are functioning properly
• Determining what needs to be done to repair or replace an existing garage door system
• Cleaning debris from tracks to ensure smooth operation of doors
• Installing new doors and repairing existing doors that have been damaged
• Repairing broken springs, off-track doors, misaligned doors, and other common problems with garage door systems
• Installing new door openers and repairing existing ones
• Repairing or replacing broken springs, hinges, tracks, pulleys, panels, and other components of garage doors
• Safely drive company vehicle to and from jobsites
• Load and unload materials on and off trucks
• Safely climb and work on ladders
• Maintain valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Be in good physical condition
• Have a positive attitude and work well with others
• Must be reliable and on time daily

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
