At Black Cap Coffee & Bakery in our four locations in Stowe, Morrisville, Church Street in Burlington, and now downtown Waterbury, we are well known for delicious coffee, fresh pastries, wonderful breakfast and lunch items, wonderful customer service and a fantastic work environment! We need a full-time PREP COOK willing to split their time 50/50 between our flagship location in Stowe and our NEW location in Waterbury! A much-needed, but not required bonus, would be to split some of the time also at our Morrisville location, as needed. The Prep Cook will work directly with the Head Baker to assist in back of house operations, and is responsible for all sandwich station prep.

Responsible for:

• Preparing sandwich station for each day (slicing bread, apples, tomatoes, cheeses) ensuring that front of house has enough stock for daily and weekend sandwich rushes
• Cooking bulk batches of bacon, eggs, & onions
• Pre-assembling sandwiches & assisting in sandwich production when needed
• Maintaining the highest standards of cleaning & sanitation within your station
• Expected to follow through with regular daily cleaning of dishes, sweeping, cleaning surfaces and equipment

Prep Cook will be provided adequate training with the Head Baker from our central kitchen that will cover sanitation guidelines and an immersion on Black Cap ways.

Competitive pay according to experience. Prep-Cook Pay starting at: $14/hr + $4/hr tips. REQUIREMENTS: must be organized, proactive, self-motivated and willing to work weekends and some holidays.
