The Full Stack Web Developer performs coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process. Designs and develops software applications across the full stack of the application, from database and back-end APIs to front-end web-based user interfaces.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Development and maintenance of Hammerton websites (currently 5 in total)
• Implement and optimize site performance metrics and analytics data gathering
• Improve processes and systems related to the websites (development cycle, testing and QA, hosting, etc.)
• Support data exchange needs for our own websites and with other ecommerce partners
• Collaborate with team members in IT, Marketing, Sales, and other internal and external contacts

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• About 2-10 years of related experience required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Web development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP (SQL, Python, jQuery, React would be helpful too)
• Ability to take input from designers and turn it into a functional and appealing website
• Experience with WordPress, themes, and modular design (Elementor would be helpful)
• Experience with eCommerce platforms (WooCommerce preferred) and order fulfillment workflows
• Ability to work with git, basic Linux operations, web hosting providers, DNS, CDN caching, etc.
• Understanding of user experience concepts and website optimization
• Strong communication skills with both technical and less-technical people
• Works well in a team-centered Agile workflow
• Basic photo manipulation skills would be helpful cropping, resolution updates, etc.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to walk, lift, stand, stoop, climb, bend wrists, and prolonged viewing of computer screens.
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times.
