Empire Transportation, Inc. has been providing quality transportation services in Southern California for over 41 years. At our corporate office in Bellflower, CA we are currently in search of a suitable candidate to fill an open full charge bookkeeper position . The ideal candidate should possess the following capabilities and/or experience:

• 1+ Years Bookkeeping experience
• QuickBooks Skills Required in Accounts payable, Banking, General Journals and payroll.
• Excel Skills Required
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written- Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Reliable, detail oriented and able to multi-task
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical skill
• Common Sense is important.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Working with our Controller and interact with the CFO
• Record deposits, debits, and withdrawals
• Reconciling bank accounts, credit cards and vendors accounts
• Accounts Payable
• Monitor cash flow, maintain schedules, and data entry
• Process payroll twice a month.
• Inventory Control
• Answering phones
