Minimum Qualifications:

• Routine twisting at the waist, of wrists and neck to interact with customers and use POS Systems
• Lifting product upwards of 50lbs below, equal to and above waste
• Ability to communicate with customers and other employees in person or via telephone device
• Ability to read, decipher and communicate often small and fine print
• Basic Math Skills, ability to count cash and change denominations
• Keep a flexible schedule, able to work in the range from 10-40 hours based upon business needs. Able to work overtime or be on-call as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Greeting of all customers
• Maintain accurate pricing on all product in work area
• Work product to the floor in a timely manner
• Ensure the product stocked follow the FIFO best practice
• Ensure no expired product is ever on display, reporting close dated product to manager
• Routine culling of merchandise to ensure only best possible is on presentation
• Maintain merchandise presentation standards of the department
• Maintain food safety standards throughout the department
• Routine cleaning of display cases and backroom
• Assist with cashiering, carry outs, cart runs or other customer related tasks

Brief Job Description

The Frozen Food clerk provides the best shopping experience possible for our customers through the customer service, in stocks and presentation of the sales floor. They ensure product is available for the customer through quickly working product out to the sales floor following product rotation guidelines. Stocking Clerks may be trained to work in the following departments; Produce, Grocery, Deli, Frozen, General Merchandise, Health and Beauty, and Beer/Wine. Schedule varies based on area assigned and needs of the business.
