Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Operations, Food Service Worker-General is responsible for a variety of tasks in relation to dining room service and front of the house operations.


Required Qualifications:

  • Possess basic math and reading skills
  • Possess a customer service mentality and be able to effectively interact with students and guests Ability to function in a high stress environment
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
  • Ability to continuously stand and walk for the duration of an assigned shift

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks related to dining room service and front of the house operations Prepare food items while adhering to strict food safety handling protocols
  • Work effectively as a team contributor and be able to resolve conflicts autonomously with students and staff
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests
  • Clean all work areas and complete prep work 15 minutes prior to end of shift to allow manager or lead cook/crew leader to double check work areas
  • Maintain clean prep areas, coolers, shelves, and floors in all work areas
  • Complete and return appropriate temp and sanitation logs lo manager at the end of each shift Maintain mandated cooler shelf storage order guidelines
  • Maintain high standards of sanitation
  • Inform manager of damaged and unsafe equipment that needs to be repaired or replaced Work catering as deemed necessary for operational needs
  • Other food service worker tasks may be assigned, if necessary, based on business needs

Pay Rate will be based on current Union Contract
