Job description

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Delivering food &/or supplies to the Building 6 Cafeteria and meeting rooms and returning/cleaning up supplies at the appropriate time using appropriate tools/personnel carrier.
  • Handling and washing of dishes ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 10 lbs.
  • Stocking deliveries in the Building 3 Cafeteria storage and cooler areas.
  • Miscellaneous tasks such as mopping the floor and cleaning the freezer.
  • Learning how to record inventory
  • Performing support services as required
  • Other duties as assigned such as operating the cash register or food preperation.

To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:

  • Ability to become a certified driver for cafeteria vehicles (you will be trained on premises).
  • Ability to meet daily deadlines while maintaining teamwork.
  • Ability to follow specific verbal instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand job related materials such as packing lists, menus, and notes.
  • Obtaining your food safety certification within the first 60 days, if you do not already have the certification (company will cover the cost)

Relevant Work Experience:
Food Service experience preferred.

MAJOR PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Standing: Most tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.
  • Lifting: Frequent lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Walking: Walking a moderate distance (<1/8 mile).
  • Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging in weight from 10 lbs. to 30 lbs.
  • Pushing: Pushing of food carts to various locations.
  • Pulling: Pulling of food carts to various locations.
  • Bending: Some bending is involved when stocking shelves or handling sanitation duties.
  • Reaching: Some reaching is involved when stocking shelves or handling sanitation duties.
  • Handling: Frequent handling of items ranging in weight from 10 lbs. to 30 lbs.
