Job description
Manage the food service department of a private boarding school for international middle school students. The chef prepares the weekly menus, orders the ingredients, and directs the preparation, service and clean up of all meals for students, residents, staff and guests. The current number served daily is approximately 120 persons but it can fluctuate during the summer months.
A Culinary degree is desired. Five years of experience in an institutional food environment is required. Management experience desired. Strong food preparation skills and a passion for introducing new flavors and foods is necessary.
Background check is required.
This school is committed to providing all students with a safe environment in which all members of the school community are treated with dignity and respect. All personnel will be required to:
1. Adhere to policies related to boundaries with students.
2. Attend required abuse risk management training.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
