Foot & Ankle Surgical Associates is seeking a Full-time Float Back Office Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant to join their team! As a float MA you will be filling in at various locations. Back Office Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant

As a Float Back Office Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant, you are directly involved in ensuring that we deliver patient-focused care at all times. As a true people person you will thrive in this environment as you greet patients warmly and triage them upon arrival. You will prepare them to see the physician by obtaining their histories, vital signs, and weight/height measurements. You assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments and are always a calming presence for our patients. You also use your excellent communication skills and phone etiquette as you interact through various means of communication.

You prepare examination and procedure rooms so that they are always in order, set up, and ready for each new patient. You are intent on maintaining a clean and safe environment by sterilizing medical instruments. You can plan on some administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and procedures for patients and manage the necessary documents such as pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results. You also ensure that everything is properly documented in our computer system. This fast-paced environment will keep you on your toes, but your positive attitude will ensure your success at FASA. You are truly essential to our success!

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduated and received certification from an accredited medical assistant program
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
• Flexible schedule
• CPR certification or willing to attain upon hire
• Previous experience in an Podiatry setting is preferred, but not necessarily required
• Self motivated and able to work as part of a team
• Positive attitude and able to work in a fast paced environment
• Bilingual skills are a plus!
