We are currently hiring qualified fitters to join our growing team in Barberton, Ohio!

Individuals selected for this role will perform critical production work in a high consequence, heavy fabrication environment. Daily tasks and general responsibilities will include:

• Fitting, aligning, assembling, and securing internal and external component parts, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies of varying size, complexity, shape, and design; performing layouts and other incidental fitting tasks.
• Rigging and installing lifting equipment and fixtures to components; assembling and disassembling of components, tools, and fixtures
• Assisting crane operators with the movement of parts; operation of pendant and jib cranes
• Attaching of thermocouples
• Wrapping of wire on electrical preheats and working to exacting tolerances under any required preheat
• Flushing and cleaning of components; painting of components, tooling, and fixtures
• Torqueing closures for hydro-testing; setting up and operating vibrational conditioning and hydro equipment as required.
• Chipping, grinding, milling, and tapping to obtain proper fit, remove defects, alter geometry, or in preparation for NDE, inspection, or painting
• Assisting with the loading and tying down of components, fixtures, tools, and other materials on trucks, trailers, and railcars; shipping of equipment, material, and product as required.

Minimum Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the skills necessary to safely and effectively complete required tasks. This includes, at a minimum:

• A high school diploma or equivalency
• Two (2) years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred; lesser experience coupled with formal training or certification may be considered.
• Ability to operate mobile lifts, lift trucks/tow motors, electric trucks, hand trucks, and pallet movers
• Ability to work above and below floor level
• Ability to work from verbal and written instructions, such as prints, process sheets, sketches, and bills of materials
• Ability to work any shift
• Ability to adhere to strict PPE and safety requirements
• Ability to pass written exams during qualification period; ability to obtain and maintain qualifications necessary to perform assigned duties
• Ability to pass all pre-employment processes, to include a background check, pre-employment physical and drug screen, verification of education and work history, and reference checks
• Due to our work with the US government, US citizenship with no dual citizenship is also required for this position
