Aquila's Health and Fitness Coordinator - temporary full time assists in overseeing fitness center programs at Aquila managed fitness center.
This is a temporary full-time position. Applicants can expect to work full time in-person between October 1, 2023 -December 31, 2023. Candidates will need to be able to work 6am to 2 p.m. and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. depending on the day, Monday-Friday. It is an 8 hour daily shift. The pay rate is $18/hour plus benefits.

As a Health and Fitness Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
- Supervise exercise areas
- Educate members concerning safe exercise techniques
- Perform exercise assessments and prescribe exercise upon American College of Sports Medicine guidelines
- Conduct safe and effective assessments including cardiovascular, strength, flexibility and body composition analysis; evaluate and interpret data and identify high risk participants and special populations
- Aid members - spotting and equipment usage
- Explain all equipment
- Ensure the maintenance, cleanliness and safety of all equipment
- Adhere to departmental and club policies and procedures
- Adhere to client’s policies and procedures
- Attend staff meetings
- Assist in wellness and fitness promotions and external events
- Perform daily administrative duties
- Make recommendations and assist in the formulation of fitness center policies and plans
- Supervise and monitor exercise participants, perform exercise assessments, and exercise prescription
- Teach group fitness movement classes
- Select, supervise, train and evaluate employees
