The Department of Revenue's Business and Financial Services (B&FS) Division is looking to fill a Fiscal Technician 3 in our Financial Management team in Tumwater, WA. This is a close-knit team of people who are excited to work together and do their part. Duties

As a Fiscal Technician 3, you will scan invoices for payment, enter expenditure information into the Agency Financial Reporting System, and distribute warrants for the business of the agency. If selected, here are some of the other essential functions you can expect:

  • Audit, verify and prepare invoice payment batches for scanning, indexing and processing.
  • Responsible for the distribution of travel, reimbursement, vendor and refund warrants.
  • Maintain and distribute accounting reports received in the accounting office from AFRS.
  • Maintain archive records.
  • Assist other accounting staff as necessary.

Qualifications

Who we are looking for:
A professional with fiscal experience who shows an exceptional attention to detail, is easily adaptable to changing priorities, is actively engaged in their work, and has a positive attitude.

Required qualifications:
High school diploma or GED certificate and one year of fiscal experience

OR

fifteen quarter or ten semester hours of college-level accounting.

As well as the ability to:


  • Perform repetitive motion activities such as sorting and opening mail and keying data.
  • Accurately entering data using 10-key by touch.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Word functions and applications.
