The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of accounting within our company. Their primary focus will be on the consolidation of financial accounts, preparing daily and monthly financial statements, monitoring expense levels and forecasting cash flow. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with financial reporting and a demonstrated knowledge of international accounting standards. Job hours will consist of Monday-Thursday from 7:30am-4:30pm. Work on Friday will only be required if needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs the monthly financial close activities. Posting of month end journal entries including but not limited to accruals, reclassification entries, etc. Reviews and analyses the balance sheet and profit & loss statement for correctness and completeness.
  • Prepare financial reports for presentations to senior management.
  • Oversee the activities of the disbursement department, ensuring the accurate and timely management of both accounts payable and receivable.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as payroll, benefits, payroll tax compliance and purchase orders.
  • Ensure that financial policies and procedures are followed by employees.
  • Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify and support the integrity of all operations, processes and data.
  • Respond to leadership with accurate and timely work to facilitate financial needs.
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, vendors and customers courteously and professionally.
  • Coordination of tax filings with CPA.
  • Assist in accounting of all retirement accounts.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls.
  • Pay payroll taxes and corporate returns.
  • File quarterly 941, MESC and 940.
  • Process W4's at years end.
  • File 5500 and compliance reports for 401k annually.
  • Perform human resource duties such as 401k enrollment, maintain employee paperwork, completion of annual workers comp and audits, annual OSHA report and open commuication with employees on benefits.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
