Laguna Industries LLC is the leader in the design, manufacture, and support of complex car wash control systems.

Reporting to the President, the Financial Controller will be a key partner to the executive leadership team in the execution of the company's strategic plan and achievement of financial goals. We are seeking a dynamic leader to take a hands-on approach to work with ownership to transition their responsibilities and provide leadership in daily operations of the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the finance and accounting function for the business
  • Hire, train, and develop and manage the accounting team
  • Lead and execute the monthly closing process
  • Deliver timely, accurate and comprehensive financial reports
  • Lead external audits

Specifics:

  • Approving invoices: Ensuring invoices are appropriately approved and coded in the general ledger.
  • Cash flow management: Monitoring and balancing cash flows into and out of a business to meet obligations and optimize investment.
  • Audit liaison: Coordinating with external financial, compliance, and tax auditors.
  • Internal controls: Creating and monitoring company policies and internal controls, especially spending controls, to safeguard company assets and reduce fraud.
  • Budget: Assisting or fully creating the budget, including incorporating historical data.
  • Financial strategy: Developing financial strategy, including risk minimization plans and opportunity forecasting.
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with local law, tax provisions, and relevant industry and financial regulations.
  • Reporting and analysis: Providing financial reporting and analysis to guide decision-making through timely, accurate and comprehensive financial reports.
  • Cost savings: Identifying efficiencies and opportunities for cost reductions across the business.
  • Leadership: Mentoring and managing the accounting and financial staff.
  • Stakeholder management: Advising company managers on operations activities based on knowledge of the underlying business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting (CPA preferred)
  • A minimum of 3 years serving as a Controller/similar position for a mid-sized company.
  • Exceptional analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Private Equity sponsor experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $82,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
