Performs duties that impact the Company’s ability to deal with accounting issues on a timely basis and to help ensure that accounting conclusions are supportable to the Company’s external auditors and to the SEC. Oversees entire standalone reporting process for fully consolidated joint ventures that are significant to both the Company and the Company’s partners.

  • Oversees the corporate close process of fully consolidated joint ventures.
  • Prepares monthly financial statements including cash flow statements and variance analyses of fully consolidated joint ventures.
  • Prepares annual audited financial statements and footnotes of fully consolidated joint ventures and coordinates with auditors to ensure they receive information timely and accurately.
  • Performs technical research on accounting matters and assists with the drafting of the Company’s position on such matters.
  • Performs initial review of material contracts that primarily relate to the purchase of goods and/or services or the leasing of property by the Company.
  • Assists with the monthly lease close process, including analysis and journal entries.
  • Assists management with ad hoc requests.

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or higher level degree in Accounting required.
  • 3 years of Accounting, equivalent Public Accounting, and/or Auditing experience required.
  • CPA or CPA eligible preferred.
  • Knowledge of the various government and professional organizations in the United States that promulgate accounting standards, interpretations, and guidance preferred.
  • Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, and the ability to apply them to the Company’s accounting needs preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret company policies, regulatory guidelines, and other work-related documentation preferred.
  • Ability to abide by confidentiality requirements when working with sensitive information, results, and communications preferred.
  • Ability to produce professional financial reports with an attention to detail and presentation preferred.
  • Skill in providing thorough, efficient, and effective customer service to individuals at all levels within the organization preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods preferred.
  • Ability to accomplish work within required timelines, including short, long, and emergency timeframes and to prioritize multiple assignments to ensure completion of tasks preferred.
  • Ability to work with others to accomplish challenging assignments preferred.
  • Ability to take initiative, ask questions, and analyze detailed information preferred.
