The Field Service Technician is an entry level position. The main function of a Field Service Technician is to provide labor resources on Field Service projects. This position offers an amazing opportunity for growth and a chance to travel the beautiful Gulf Coast region.

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, procedures and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Has the ability to travel for periods of 4-5 weeks in duration and for extended periods of time in excess of 8 hours per day.
• Performs all job related functions in a safe, honest, ethical and compliant fashion. Maintains a “Safety First” approach to all tasks and understands that operating safely is the most important thing we do.
• Engages in strenuous physical labor to include lifting, pulling heavy objects; standing for long periods of time; climbing and working from ladders and scaffolds.
• Works in potentially hazardous atmospheres and locations where exposure to hazardous substances may be encountered to include petroleum hydrocarbons, benzene and hydrogen sulfide.
• Works inside confined spaces to include tanks, vaults and sumps, and in locations with elevated noise levels.
• Has the ability to wear and properly use a variety of Levels A, B and C & D Personal Protective Equipment including face, hand, foot and eye protections as well as respiratory protection equipment.
• Operates small equipment to include air monitoring equipment, hydraulic power packs, air compressors, pumps, blending equipment, generators, pressure washers, etc.
• Works with EH&S, HR and Training departments to ensure that their training, TWIC, drug screens, physicals, etc. are current.
• Completes required paperwork to include time cards, Safe Work Permits, Inspection Forms, JSA’s and Safety Audits
• Is available for “On Call” as needed
• Is a team player that leads by example
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management as required by the business

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Demonstrates a strong mechanical ability
• Clean driving record and valid state issued Driver’s License
• Knowledge of API Safe Work practices and RCRA
• Ability to pass background checks, drug & alcohol screens, OSHA 40 hours Training and Confined Space Entry training
• Ability to work at elevations and inside confined spaces for extended periods of time
• Demonstrates leadership ability with strong attention to detail

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to perform strenuous physical activity
• Requires standing, walking, carrying, stooping, crouching, sitting, grasping and reaching
• Ability to wear and use PPE and respiratory protection equipment to include level A, B & C
• Ability to work in both hot (>90 degrees F and cold <32 degrees F) environments for extended periods of time
• Fit for duty to include being clean shaven when required
• Requires lifting, pulling and/or pushing up to 50 lbs
• Extensive travel as required
