Summary

Our Global Field Service Department is looking for a dependable Field Service Technician team member. You will drive our exceptional customer service experience, improve customer satisfaction, maximize customer retention, and increase profitability. All experience levels are welcome to apply. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Security Field Service. This position will cover Pensacola International airport and surrounding areas.

Your primary responsibilities: as Field Service Technician

  • Demonstrate the ability to diagnose errors, technical problems and determine proper solutions.
  • Demonstrate good electronic and mechanical repair troubleshooting methodology and maintain technical product knowledge.
  • Document and produce timely and detailed service reports.
  • A willingness to exceed company and customer requirements.
  • Responsive to customer needs and building a positive relationship.

Basic Qualifications for Field Service Technician:

  • Meet daily service needs at assigned sites and locations
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in troubleshooting and repair
  • Ability to plan and perform repairs and preventative maintenance independently in the field.
  • Able to schedule work based on field needs
  • Exceptional at managing time and able to complete assigned small field projects
  • Technically savvy; innovative, quick to learn and adapt to new technology
  • Professional attitude and be customer focused.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to document detailed reports
  • Thorough follow up skills are a key responsibility and expectation of this job.
  • Flexible and open to a fluid schedule and working environment.
  • Ensure all tools and calibrated equipment are properly maintained at all times.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
  • In accordance with the Airport Security Plan and TSA regulations, you must apply and obtain an Airport ID Badge.
  • Must be able to pass a background check (e-QIP)
  • Travel, overtime and working hours may vary depending on current workload. Travel is dependent on daily regional needs to airports in your location.
  • Up to 75% travel required and this will vary based on workload

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified trade training

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs. often, 50 lbs. occasionally and 75 lbs. seldom.

  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch or squat, kneel or crawl, sit, stand for long periods of time, turning, and working in unusual positions requiring full body mobility.

  • Must also be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex or extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity.

  • Must be able to work in tight, semi enclosed spaces occasionally.
