Ingersoll’s US operations are housed on our state-of-the-art manufacturing and marketing campus in Rockford, Illinois. We are currently accepting applications for a FIELD SALES ENGINEER – CUTTING TOOL SPECIALIST must reside within the greater Tulsa area.

The Field Sales Engineer is a technical sales position requiring a unique blend of technical knowledge and abilities, proven time management skills, and a professional, persuasive, effective communication style.

Essential job duties and Responsibilities include:

·promote and service products at customer locations involving frequent and regular business travel

• maintenance of a valid driving license is a mandatory job requirement
• maintaining a personal residence within assigned territory is a mandatory job requirement

·evaluate market, establish sales targets, and generate new customers/business

·document sales efforts and file regular reports with home office

·cultivate customer relationships

·evaluate customer needs and recommend appropriate products

·troubleshoot product applications

·meet or exceed established sales goals

Skills/Qualifications:

·strong hands-on machining background with experience applying machine cutting tools in various workpiece materials

·some past experience in CNC programming (manual and with CAM systems) desired

·ability to evaluate and articulate technical applications

·direct sales experience desired, but we are willing to work with the right candidate to shape these skills

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work well independently as well as with others in a team environment and keep a cool head in stressful situations. Candidates should be highly organized, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, maintain an organized and clean work area, possess a good work ethic, demonstrate reliable and punctual work habits with a strong attention to details, demonstrate safety consciousness, be self-motivated with a proven capacity to multi-task, and conduct themselves professionally at all times. Computer literacy required; working knowledge of MS Window platform and MS Office programs preferred.
