Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Nephi, UT 84648: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists with the implementation of new feeding strategies or techniques.
• Assists with the training of new employees in feed management and safety procedures.
• Assists with the ordering of feed and supplies as needed.
• Participates in regular meetings with the Feed Manager to discuss feed management and production progress.
• Assists with the preparation of reports and records related to feed management and production.
• Maintains the feed kitchen, storage areas, and equipment in a clean and organized manner.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations.
• Stays up-to-date with advancements in feed management and animal nutrition.
• Assists with other tasks and duties as assigned by the Feed Manager or supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Farming: 1 year (Preferred)

• Farm & Ranch Occupations: 1 year (Preferred)

• High School degree or higher; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software and Database software.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Regularly exposed to airborne particles. May be assigned to duties that require the use of a respirator. Pulmonary function test and respirator fit test would apply.
• Frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
• Frequently required to climb or balance and is exposed to work in high, precarious places.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Employees may be required to wear hardhat; eyes, ears, and respiratory protection daily. And other misc PPE requirements for your job.

Lifting, carrying, push/pull, pinch/grip, reaching overhead and away from the body, walk, stand, crawl, kneel, squat and climbing are essential to this job.
