In our small (busy) year-round cafe/market/restaurant/catering business, our managers wear many hats, need to be flexible, able to multitask, enjoy working with and leading others. The management team, which you would be a part, eagerly tackle the tasks of the day and enjoy being busy!
One must possess leadership qualities, coaching skills and the ability to prioritize the workload for optimum results. A calm demeanor, a helpful can-do attitude, and the ability (and desire) to build an enthusiastic customer orientated team is at the very top of our requirements.
Your main focus would be customer service, assisting dining room during busy service, ensuring proper flow between front of house and back of house, expediting, leading/teaching/coaching, taking the lead on catering, etc. The job would be 70% hands-on, and 30% administrative. You must enjoy food, people, community and all things local.
