JOB DESCRIPTION

The Contractor shall provide uninterrupted outpatient family nurse practitioner (FNP) or PA services in the delivery of patient care to the Indian Health Service.

Specific tasks include the following:

Family Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Duties:

The Contractor shall perform outpatient family practice duties and work under the general technical administrative supervision of the Health Center Supervisor APN or Chief Medical Officer (CMO). If you are working as the Flu Practitioner you are required to go offsite with OPD staff and PHN staff to local Chapter Houses and Schools to administer Flu Vaccine to the patients of the Navajo Route 12 community.

You will also be required to see patients at the clinic and scheduler will set you up. You will have to pack a lunch if you are to assist with the Flu Clinics. Basic FNP duties include seeing patients at the walk-in clinic- request flexibility.

DUE to COVID-19 Outbreak, physician will be testing patients and will work at alternate sites with alternate hours within Chinle Service Unit to accommodate patient flow and safety. Section 12.0 highlights COVID-19 duties and risks in more detail. 5.1.2 The Contractor shall perform in accordance with the competency standards listed in the Chinle Service Unit Medical Staff By-Laws

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Thirty-six (36) months of family practice experience, with a minimum of twelve months (12) in the specialty required by the contract.

Be board certified or board eligible in family practice.

A current, valid, unrestricted physician license in any state.

A valid state driver’s license.

BLS Certificate

PALS Certificate

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $45.00 per hour

Standard shift:

• Day shift

Weekly schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Rotating weekends

• Tsaile, AZ 86556: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Family Practice: 3 years (Preferred)
• Family Practice/ physician assistance: 1 year (Preferred)
