SUMMARY

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will assist the Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC) Facilities Manager in providing building maintenance and refurbishment services at the Naval Support Activity - South Potomac (NSA-SP) base located in Dahlgren, Virginia. The Facilities Maintenance Technician must have a current Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance to gain access to JWAC spaces and be eligible for Special Access Program (SAP) Access.

Ceiling Tile assistance:

  • Ceiling Tile Tasks
  • Ceiling Tile Install

Plumbing assistance:

  • Plumber Tasks
  • Toilet Maintenance
  • Drains Maintenance
  • Repair Leaks

Carpenter assistance:

  • Carpenter Tasks
  • Repair Carpet

General Maintenance and Repair Worker

  • General Maintenance and Repair Tasks
  • Moving Material
  • Furniture Move/Rearrangement
  • Safe Moves/Relocation
  • Place/Remove Whiteboard
  • Cubical Reconfiguration
  • General Appearance upkeep
  • Project Clean Up
  • Spot/Odor Removal

General Maintenance Task

  • Miscellaneous (In- House) Projects
  • Various Assemble/Install

Door Repairers

  • Mechanical Door Repair Tasks

Escorting

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

This position has no supervisory and/or managerial authority.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Degree
  • A certificate from a vocational, technical and/or business school preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Candidates must be US Citizens.

· Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI eligible clearance.

  • Candidates will be subject to a US Federal Government background investigation and must favorably pass a drug screen.
  • Excellent and advanced interpersonal and judgment skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Workspace will be in a US Government Facility with controlled access and/or military installation.

TRAVEL

  • There no travel associated with this requisition.
