Job description
SUMMARY
This position is primarily responsible for dual duties that include, but are not limited to, supervising all poker activities within an assigned gaming area and dealing cards at the gaming table with precise counts and payouts. Responsible for working according to set procedures under direct supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following:
- Directs and supervise the work of dealers.
- Provides prompt, courteous, and accurate dealing.
- Supervises opening and closing procedures of the poker room.
- Maintains inspection of decks, ensuring security of table games at all times.
- Oversees all actions in poker room; report any irregular play to management.
- Assists guest in playing and ensure adherence to established rules, policies, and procedures.
- Ensures adherence to safety policies and procedures and report any safety hazards to the management.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY
Lead/and or guide the work of other employees.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 0 to 2 years of experience dealing cards in a casino poker environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must be able to provide and maintain a high standard of guest service at all times.
- Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must successfully complete training in CNE Gaming Academy.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position may be performed in a variety of office settings, including, climate-controlled office settings and/or casino floors which includes exposure to smoke and crowd noise. Must have flexibility to work varied shifts including, weekends and holidays, as needed.
