What Rockwell Needs from You

We need a diverse workforce to do our best work. We need the makers, the forward thinkers, the problem solvers, and everything in between. That is where you come in. We have an immediate hiring need for our full-time manufacturing Expediter level 2.

This is a 1st Shift role (M-F, 6am - 2:30pm) with a starting rate of $16.01 per hour.


Job Summary:

  • Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.

  • Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.

  • Lifts heavy items and operate a forklift.

  • Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.

  • Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment.

  • Examines, stocks, and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.

  • May prepare kitting packages for assembly production.


Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Performs a variety of coordinating, routing, and material handling duties to meet production schedules. Expedites parts to remedy shortage problems.

  • Picks up and delivers materials within and outside company and maintains records on material flow.

  • May ensure incoming materials are properly routed.

  • May monitor the flow of materials and parts between departments in order to meet scheduled commitments.

  • Overtime is an essential function of this position which typically requires 10-20 hours of standard hours of overtime/week. Actual overtime hours may vary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of High School Diploma/GED OR 1 year of verified related experience

  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 1 year of related experience


Accepts Role Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs.

  • Self-Direction within Team Environment

  • Sit and/or Stand for long periods

  • Responsible for utilizing proper safety equipment and following all safety procedures.
